DriveThruRPG Best Sellers
It's always worth checking out thebest sellers in DriveThru, this wekk the sales leaderboard for October 4, 2025, is topped by Cyberpunk RED: Single Player Mode. Other strong sellers include Phantasy Star Tabletop Roleplaying and the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Soulbound Champions of Chaos: Core Rulebook. The Daggerheart Corebook and the Marvel Multiverse RPG Avengers Expansion also found their way into the most purchased titles. Given that the regulars at the Tavern are explorng the blasted wastelands of Aqshy, I dare say we'll see a couple of them head over to check out the Soulbound Core Book.
Green Ronin Playtest Release
Superhero RPGs seem to be the rage at the moment, so it is great timing for Green Ronin who have launched a playtest for the fourth edition of their popular superhero RPG, Mutants & Masterminds. In addition, they announced an upcoming release, Dragons of the Realms, a D&D licensed color book set to drop next month.
DIE Comic Sequel Announced
As a very real bard, entertainer, sage advisor and regular on the Tavern floor, I can't imagine what the players in Image Comics latest offering are going through. However, they have just revealed that the popular comic series DIE, which explores the lives of RPG players trapped in their game world, will be returning with a new sequel series.
Merryshire Detective Club Unveiled
Running good investigative RPGs is always a challenge. Getting hte balance right between clues, red herrings and mystery is a fine line to walk. So check out this recent piece from Pelgrane Press who have announced the Merryshire Detective Club, a cozy fantasy mystery RPG powered by the award-winning Gumshoe system, which promises to deliver engaging and light-hearted detective adventures.
New TTRPG Twilight Sword
Free League are on a roll (I crack myself up!) recently and are set to introduce Twilight Sword, an anime-inspired TTRPG influenced by classic Zelda games. The game is scheduled for release next year, generating excitement among fans of both the genre and Free League's past titles.

Invincible RPG Crowdfunding
More from the unstoppable machine that is Fria Ligan. The Invincible RPG campaign on Kickstarter has been launched by Free League Publishing in collaboration with Skybound Entertainment. This superhero RPG, using the Year Zero Engine, is rapidly gaining backer support and will conclude on October 16, 2025.
Mothership Month Campaign from GAMA
GAMA is set to launch Mothership Month on October 14, focusing on the sci-fi horror RPG Mothership. This campaign will include various print and PDF sales from multiple publishers, concluding on October 5th. Contributions are coming in from a huge variety of places, it's worth checking out https://substack.com/@grinningrat who has a zine ready to go, but also regularly restacks other fantastic pieces.
